Information on the process to convert EACCME\u00ae credit to AMA credit can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/edhub.ama-assn.org\/pages\/applications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">edhub.ama-assn.org\/pages\/applications<\/a>.<\/p><h3>Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada<\/h3><p>Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. For more information, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalcollege.ca\/en\/cpd\/moc-program\/international-recognition-agreements.html#heading5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal College website<\/a>.<\/p><h2>Educational objectives<\/h2><p>After attending this event, participants should be able to:<\/p><ul><li>Analyse the current evidence base on physician burnout, mental health, and occupational well-being, and evaluate its relevance to their own clinical context and specialty.<\/li><li>Apply evidence-based personal well-being strategies, including mindfulness, micro-recovery practices, boundary-setting, and resilience techniques, to sustain performance and prevent burnout in daily clinical practice.<\/li><li>Recognise early signs of burnout, compassion fatigue, moral distress, and depression in themselves and their colleagues, and identify appropriate pathways for support and intervention.<\/li><li>Compare institutional well-being programme models from different health systems and evaluate their applicability to their own organisational setting.<\/li><li>Design or contribute to the development of a physician well-being programme within their institution, integrating governance structures, funding considerations, peer support mechanisms, and outcome evaluation frameworks.<\/li><li>Evaluate the role of leadership behaviours and organisational culture in enabling or undermining physician well-being, and formulate strategies for well-being-centred leadership in their own environment.<\/li><li>Assess the potential and limitations of digital tools and artificial intelligence in reducing physician workload and supporting sustainable clinical practice.<\/li><li>Integrate peer support principles and psychological safety frameworks into their clinical team or department, drawing on evidence-based peer support models.<\/li><li>Critically appraise systemic and policy-level drivers of the physician well-being crisis and advocate for structural changes at institutional, national, or international level.<\/li><li>Formulate a personal well-being action plan that translates insights from the conference into concrete, implementable steps within their professional and personal life.<\/li><li>Explain the evidence linking physician well-being with patient safety, clinical outcomes, and quality of care, and apply this understanding to build the case for well-being investment within their institution.<\/li><\/ul><h2>Target audience<\/h2><p>Fully qualified medical specialist doctors across all clinical disciplines, with particular relevance to specialties associated with high levels of occupational burnout, including but not limited to emergency medicine, urology, haematology\/oncology, obstetrics and gynaecology, radiology, general practice\/family medicine, general surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, and anaesthesiology, as well as internal medicine, psychiatry, occupational medicine, and public health and preventive medicine, who are seeking evidence-based strategies to address burnout, sustain personal well-being, and improve the conditions of medical practice.<\/p><p>Senior medical leaders, including Chief Medical Officers, Chief Wellness Officers, and clinical directors, who hold a specialist qualification in any UEMS-recognised medical discipline and carry organisational responsibility for physician well-being.<\/p><h2>To receive your CME\/CPD certificate<\/h2><p>Kindly note that the WBD 2026 online evaluation will be active on the last day of the conference. You will then be able to access it and claim your CME\/CPD certificate. Each attendee will receive a post-event email with further instructions.<\/p><h2>Disclosure and resolution of personal conflicts of interest<\/h2><p>In accordance with CME\/CPD accreditation criteria and standards for commercial support to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor, those in control of the educational content must disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest.
